TY NEPTUNE and JAMES JAMES, high school surfers and mediocre rock-and-rollers, are fatally bored one day when they spot a refrigerator box in a dumpster. Naturally, they decide to put wheels on it, thus creating a new sport called boxboarding. After several amusing experiences testing out their creation, one of which lands them on the news, the underdogs gain instant fame at their school. This thoroughly pisses off archenemy ALEXANDER KEENE, a rich kid whose parents are unethical attorneys. Seeing the potential for marketing the boxboards, Alexander sets a high-stakes competition in motion, where the winner will secure all rights to what might be the next hula-hoop. Adding to the mix is James’s obnoxious little brother RICK JAMES, who is supposedly “ gifted and talented;” STEPHANIE MCCOY, a cutie who has a thing for Ty; and TARA ROCKWELL, a stuck-up hottie who sees the potential for MTV exposure if she enters the race. But the high-schoolers are not nearly as tweaked as their parents, including Ty’s very flamboyant father and James’s psychobabbling psychiatrist dad. Climaxing in a race that gives new definition to the word ridiculous.

French Jazz singer Raquel Bitton is internationally praised as one of the greatest interpreters of the music from the Edith Piaf repertoire.
Bitton’s critically acclaimed hit show Piaf: Her Story…Her Songs celebrates Piaf’s extraordinary life through stories and songs that reflect each major episode of her life from being abandoned by her mother at birth, raised in her grandmother’s bordello and being homeless through most of her teen years. Piaf rose from street singer to the highest paid performer in the world. She became the voice of the people, the cry of the heart, the voice of Paris. Bitton’s heartfelt renditions and her powerful delivery take her audience on an intensely moving and emotional journey.
Woven into the live concert is a luncheon where noted composers, authors, friends, and family of Edith Piaf came together at a small bistro at the foot of Pere la Chaise, the cemetery where she is buried, to share intimate personal stories offering a rare look into the true life and persona of Edith Piaf. As the wine poured the stories flowed.
